Landscape photography with a difference!

The Eagle’s Nest

The view from the Eagle’s Nest is one of the best views of the River Wye. Usually ascended from the 365 Steps route, the starting point of which can be found on the A466 about half way from Chepstow to Tintern. One can just sit in relative peace and relax. The vista is quite impressive, both Severn bridges, Clevedon, Kelston round top hill near Bath and the Cotswolds.  I often come here to take in the view and I do so on a regular basis. Sometime the light is good and I make a few exposures. One of my projects for 2015 is to photograph this scene throughout the year.

These few pictures were made on my venerable Fujifilm Finepix S5 Pro. As the light was fading I made a mad rush to the Piercefield Manor (more on this later) and only managed a few exposures from a distance before the light faded.
